April 24, 2023, Durham, NC – iRT is pleased to announce the addition of Ellen Frost, Yulee Leon, Elizabeth Porter, and Cristina Rodriguez to its diverse team of driven professionals.
Frost brings 10 years of experience in operations and business management to iRT as the newest addition to the team. She received her bachelor’s degree in musical theatre performance and began her career as a performer in New York City before pursuing higher education in business. Frost then earned her master’s degree in business administration in 2020 and made her transition to iRT.
“I moved to Raleigh this year and am excited to be a part of the iRT team,” she says.
Her main responsibilities include managing financial and day-to-day office activities at iRT as business manager.
Leon is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She joined iRT’s team in January through the university’s esteemed Karen M. Gil internship program to gain skills and experience applicable to her degree. As an intern, Leon works closely with iRT’s research scientists in the development of a new STEM mentor training program in a project funded by a grant award from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS).
“I have really enjoyed my time at iRT, because it has shown me the vast positive impact psychological research can have when applied in the real world,” she says.
Porter joined the team in October of 2022 as a content marketing specialist. She manages iRT’s communications by writing news releases and content for newsletters, updating product websites, and managing social media accounts. Porter recently graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in communication media and English. She enjoys using her writing and content creation skills to share iRT’s latest accomplishments.
“I’m continuously learning about social and behavioral health as I write about iRT’s work,” she says. “It’s inspiring to share the latest research and programs our research scientists are developing to promote wellbeing and a better society.”
Rodriquez, accounting assistant for iRT, also feels passionate about iRT’s dedication to providing resources for parents, children, and adolescents to navigate difficult conversations about mental, physical, and relationship health.
“One thing I admire about iRT is how it covers topics some households might find tricky to talk about or consider taboo,” she says.
Rodriguez studied accounting and finance at North Carolina Central University and obtained certificates as a bookkeeper, payroll agent, and income tax preparer. She plans to return to school and advance her education in the future. As iRT’s adept accounting assistant, she manages non-federal bills and expenses; prepares invoices and reports for non-federal projects; and organizes training materials, agreements, and invoices for customers.
iRT’s team of professionals dedicate their skills and passions to bettering society with a focus on enhancing the mental health, health, and quality of life of children, adolescents, families, communities, and organizations.
