December 09, 2025, Durham, NC – iRT is pleased to announce our new partnership with the Institute for Women’s Policy Research (IWPR) to support their Connect for Success Initiative.
The Connect for Success Initiative aims to increase community college students’ access to sexual and reproductive health resources, information, and care. Through this initiative, IWPR has created a learning community that connects community colleges with tools to promote student health, encourages the spread of new research and information in the field, and inspires policy change and other efforts to expand student access to sexual and reproductive health resources.
To support IWPR’s initiative, iRT is producing research briefs and quick figures on key issues related to the sexual and reproductive health of community college students. As part of our 5-year, NIH funded project, iRT collected data from community colleges across the country through the Community College Health Study to better understand student sexual and relationship health, barriers that community colleges face to implementing student sexual health resources, and the impacts of a new sexual and relationship health program for students. Applying our findings and expertise to develop research briefs for IWPR aligns with iRT’s broader mission to expand access to evidence-based sexual health resources for community college students.
