Calling NC teens who have participated in clinical trials! Share your experiences with other teens to help them learn more about the importance of research. Pediatric clinical trials are necessary in order to know if treatments are safe and effective for children and teens.<\/p>\n

DigiKnowIt News is a website that educates children about participating in pediatric clinical trials. We are creating a version specifically for teens and are looking for teens to share their real-life experiences of participating in research. This way, other teens will have more information about what it’s like to participate, if they are ever given the opportunity.<\/p>\n

Who are we looking for?<\/strong>
\nTeens (13-18 years old that live in North Carolina) who have been part of a clinical trial and are interested in sharing their experiences as part of videos on the DigiKnowIt News website. Filming for these videos will take place virtually.<\/p>\n

What will teens be asked to do?<\/strong>
\nIn order to film the videos, teens will participate in two virtual sessions, each expected to last one hour.
\n1. Teens will select the topics they wish to talk about and practice their responses with the video director using a web videoconferencing system (like Zoom).
\n2. Teens will film themselves discussing the selected topics using their own cell phone (or parent’s phone with permission) with virtual assistance from the video director.<\/p>\n

Teens will need:
\n<\/strong>\u2022 Access to a computer\/laptop
\n\u2022 A cell phone
\n\u2022 Internet access
\n\u2022 A quiet space to film themselves<\/p>\n

Teens will receive $100 for their assistance with the videos.<\/strong><\/p>\n
