{"id":10521,"date":"2025-05-08T16:47:48","date_gmt":"2025-05-08T16:47:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irtinc.us\/?p=10521"},"modified":"2025-05-08T16:51:02","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T16:51:02","slug":"university-of-denver-utilizes-irts-video-development-expertise-for-their-upcoming-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irtinc.us\/es\/university-of-denver-utilizes-irts-video-development-expertise-for-their-upcoming-research\/","title":{"rendered":"University of Denver Utilizes iRT\u2019s Video Development Expertise for Their Upcoming Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>May 08, 2025, Durham, NC \u2013 iRT is excited to announce that we are collaborating with the University of Denver to support their research with elementary school teachers.<\/p>\n<p>iRT will create and deliver brief videos of elementary school students in everyday classroom situations which will be used by the University of Denver for their research studies related to elementary school teachers\u2019 perceptions of student behavior in the classroom. iRT will be working closely with <a href=\"https:\/\/academicaffairs.du.edu\/node\/7334\">Dr. Kamilah Legette<\/a> who is the Principal Investigator on the project. Dr. Legette is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Denver as well as the Director of the University\u2019s Reducing Inequities in Student Education (R.I.S.E) laboratory. Her research focuses on how racial biases affect youth academic performance and youth development with the goal of promoting equity for children in school.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Legette chose to collaborate with iRT for the current project due to our team\u2019s extensive experience in writing and filming videos of children and teenagers for a wide range of products and research projects. iRT\u2019s researchers are adept in hiring, auditioning, and directing children and teenagers to act in videos in a wide range of social situations with peers, teachers, family members, mentors, and other adults across a variety of settings including at school and home, in cars and other forms of transportation, and in the neighborhood, mentoring programs, or sports or other out-of-school programs. iRT\u2019s researchers is experienced in working together on these projects with colleagues from other institutions to support both their research program as well as working as collaborators.
