Welcome to the Mindfulness Education for Teens Study!

We are looking for teens (aged 12 to 19 years old) with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome (22q11DS) and one of their parents to participate in an online research study.

This study is being conducted by a research team at innovation Research & Training (iRT), a behavioral science research company, and it is funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR).

The goal of this study is to evaluate an online mindfulness education program designed for teens with 22q11DS to enhance their skills for coping with anxiety or stress and managing their emotions and behaviors.

  • Parents and teens will separately complete a few online questionnaires.
  • Teens will interact with the online mindfulness education program and parents will interact with the program’s parent resources.

  • All responses will be kept confidential.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

  • The study will take place online and parent-teen pairs can complete the study anywhere in the United States and at any time that works for them.
  • The study is expected to take up to 6 hours across a period of 6 weeks.
