OVERVIEW

Ms. Gosnell is the Art Director at iRT. She has a B.A. in Multimedia and Web Design (Interactive Media) from the Art Institute of Phoenix, an E-Learning Instructional Design Certificate from ATD, and nearly 20 years of professional experience in graphic and interactive media design/development. Her skills include design for print, web, and e-learning collaborations, illustration (cartoon, technical and traditional), course building, and multimedia development such as interactivity, video and audio production, motion graphics and animation. She is well-versed at designing and building courses/programs for children, adolescents, adults, and teachers. In short, her role at iRT is that she makes things look pretty and brings them to life.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Plan My Ride: A brief, immersive, skill-building impaired driving prevention program for young adult drivers. The purpose is to complete the development of and evaluate the Plan My Ride program, an immersive virtual learning course to promote safe driving among teenagers and young adults. National Institute of General Medical Sciences. Customizable web-based mentor training for STEM mentoring programs. 1R43GM137663 – 01A1 (Co-PI: Katie Stump; Co-PI: Rebecca Stelter) 8/15/2020 – 8/14/2021. The purpose of this project is to develop a customizable online training course for mentors who are volunteering to mentor youth in STEM mentoring programs. National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. Well-Child Screening and Referral to Prevent Alcohol Use Before High School. R43AA028752. (PI: Janis Kupersmidt; Co-I: Alison Parker). 9/15/2020 – 8/31/2021. The purpose is to create and test the feasibility of using a Safer Adolescence Screening App (SASA) during well-child check-ups at pediatricians’ offices for completion by both parents and their 9- to 13-year-old children. Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. Mechanisms of Media Literacy Education for Promoting Relationship Health in Older Adolescents. R01HD099134. (PI:  Tracy M. Scull; Co-I: Christina Malik; Co-I: Janis Kupersmidt) 4/6/2020-3/31/2020. The purpose is to conduct a three-arm randomized control trial with older adolescents (i.e., ages 18-19) attending community college to isolate the effects of media literacy education (i.e., Media Aware program) on sexual and relationship health outcomes and to examine the trajectory of media literacy education effects on sexual and relationship health over time. Scull; Co-I: Christina Malik) 9/26/2018-8/31/2021. The purpose is to complete the development of a self-paced, highly interactive web-based program designed to provide high school-aged youth with comprehensive sexual health education using a media literacy education framework. The purpose is to translate an in-person media literacy workshop for parents of elementary school students into a web-based program. The goal is to increase the accessibility of substance abuse prevention programming for families living in rural areas. Role: Multimedia Designer.

National Institute on Child Health and Human Development. Mobile and Web-based training for mentees and their caregivers. 1R43HD077988-01. (PI: Stelter). 7/1/13-6/30/16. The purpose is to develop a web-based training program for youth who participated in a mentoring relationship and their parents or caregivers in order to help prepare them for a successful mentoring relationship and promote child safety. The training courses were evaluated to assess the feasibility of implementing web-based training through a mentoring program with youth and their parents or caregivers. Role: Multimedia Designer.
